RAISING VOICES RESPONDS TO CAMPAIGN TO SAVE TWO OLD YEARS OLD WHO GOT BURNT.

Raising Voices, a child rights organization working to prevent violence against children and women in Uganda has responded to the call to save 2 years little old Esther who needs another surgery and physiotherapy on her foot that got burnt. The organization has contributed to the second surgery after Esther’s mother reached out on referral from High Sound for Children. “I contacted them and narrated my story and they agreed to extend a helping hand. I produced documents from the hospital which they reviewed and accepted to help.” A happy Claire, Esther’s mother told High Sound for Children. What now remains is the bill for the physiotherapy sessions, accommodation, and food for the 2 years old and the caretaker for the days that Esther will be at CORSU rehabilitation hospital for the surgery. Another contribution also came in from Priscilla Nyamahunge, a journalist working in the Albertine region who read about Esther;s story Esther got burnt by Hot water last year and has been in and out of hospital since then.
