CHILDREN SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCES UNDER THEIR COVID 19 LOCKDOWN

My name is Joshua Muraya and today I choose to write about my experience during the lockdown which has neither been the best nor the worst. It has affected people in both positive and negative ways, especially children.

MORE THAN 6800 CHILDREN DEFILED DURING COVID.

If you asked any child to randomly name people they would turn to for protection, naturally, parents, teachers, and guardians would come top of that list. However, according to a new report by Police, it has emerged that more children are being defiled by people expected to protect them, including their parents, guardians, and teachers.

LIGHTNING STRIKES 10 CHILDREN DEAD.

At least 10 children were struck and killed by lightning during a heavy rainstorm in northwestern Uganda. The incident took place when nine of the 10 children aged 13-15 took shelter in a hut after taking a break from a football match, when the lightning struck, killing them, according to the report.

COVID-19 RESPONSE PROGRAM BY CHILD FUND GETS A BOOST

Child rights organization, Child Fund will be able to reach out to more communities in its COVID-19 response program. This is courtesy of a 129 million donation package from Standard Chartered Bank. The money will go towards the ongoing response to COVID19 prevention for Kampala Metropolitan Area in the divisions of Rubaga, Makindye, Nakawa and parts of Wakiso district.
