Child rights activists are calling for positive means of disciplining children.
Addressing a press conference in Kampala, the activists decried the increasing cases of violence against children
Hope Wambi, a programs Manager- Violence Against Children Prevention says parents should stop acting in a reactionary manner while disciplining children. She says positive discipline starts even before a child misbehaves and is aimed at guiding children other than penalizing them after going wrong.
"We encourage parents, teachers and guardians to start by telling children what constitutes a wrong and the implications". Hope Wambi said.
