Man Defiles three years old daughter

Police in Kabale is holding a 39 years old man who defiled his three years old daughter. The suspect has been identified as Deogratuis Mutabaazi a 39 years old from Kabale, who recently broke up with his wife. It is alleged that the suspect had a misunderstanding with his 27 years old wife who left with the girl and left behind their 13 years old boy. However the man stormed the wife’s home and forcefully took their daughter away and has stayed with the girl since 4th-April-2020. Police spokesman for the Kigezi region, Elly Maate says it’s the neighbors to the suspect that noticed that the girl was walking with difficulty and went on to talk to the girl who said the father was abusing her. Maate says the suspect upon questioning admitted to defiling his daughter. This comes amid concern from child rights activists on the increasing cases of domestic violence and child abuse as families stay home in a 14 days lock-down as the country battles the COVID19 pandemic
