16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence: Civil Society Organizations Hold Prayer Session for Child Mothers.

As part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, child rights organizations came together today to hold a prayer session for child mothers.

The event, organized under the Power Her Up Coalition, provided a space for young mothers to find hope, healing, and a renewed sense of purpose despite the challenges of early motherhood.

The coalition used the occasion to inspire child mothers to envision a brighter future. Annabelle Nakabiri, the Executive Director of Remnant Generation and the lead preacher, encouraged the young mothers, saying: "What happened to you cannot determine your future.  Shame cannot define you, and you are not a failure. Let a new generation of strength and purpose start with you."

Liz Kalemera, the Executive Director of the Anthill Foundation, urged the child mothers to rise above their past experiences and embrace their unique stories with courage and resilience.

The session featured uplifting praise and worship, along with heartfelt prayers for the young mothers. It was a moment of spiritual renewal, with more than ten girls committing their lives to Christ during the event.

The Power Her Up Coalition comprises notable child rights organizations, including Remnant Generation, Wakisa Ministries, the Anthill Foundation, and Trailblazers Mentorship Foundation.
