High Sound for Children Joins the Africa Child Online Safety Alliance

High Sound for Children is proud to announce its official membership in the Africa Child Online Safety Alliance (ACOSA), marking an important milestone in our commitment to protecting children in the digital world.

As internet access and digital technology continue to expand across Africa, children are increasingly benefiting from opportunities for learning, communication, and innovation. However, these opportunities also come with growing risks, including cyberbullying, online exploitation, harmful content, and privacy violations.

By joining the Africa Child Online Safety Alliance, High Sound for Children becomes part of a continental network of organizations working together to create safer digital spaces for children. “The membership strengthens our ability to collaborate, share knowledge, advocate for stronger child online protection policies, and amplify children's voices on issues affecting their safety online”. High Sound for Children Executive Director, Hadijah Mwanje noted.

For years, High Sound for Children has empowered children through media clubs, digital literacy initiatives, and child participation programs that promote responsible and safe use of technology. Joining the Alliance provides an opportunity to build on this work while contributing Uganda's experiences and lessons to a broader African movement dedicated to child online safety.

"We recognize that protecting children today means protecting them both offline and online. This membership reaffirms our commitment to ensuring that every child can access the benefits of technology safely and confidently," said Hadijah Mwanje emphasized
