THREE MORE ORPHANAGES TO RETURN CHILDREN TO SAFE AND LOVING HOMES

Child I Foundation, a child rights organization has signed an agreement with the Catholic Kampala archdiocese to work with three orphanages in Kampala and Mpigi to return children to safe and loving homes. The country Director Child I Foundation Fred Mukholo says Mpigi district will be the third location in Uganda after Makindye Division and Tororo District. “We are currently trying to secure the funding to deploy a team in Mpigi to start district transformation together with government. The partnership is a proof that it is possible to strengthen families without needing to place children in orphanages.” Mr. Mukholi said. He says the organization has achieved so much over the last 10 years having worked with government, local communities and families to give every child the childhood they deserve.
