High Sound for children together with child Rights NGO Network has introduced the HAKI4ALL book to children at two schools in Kampala, Wakiso and Buikwe districts.
The schools include Kingstone High School, Bright Way Primary school, Namusera Umea, a government primary school, and St Andrews Lugazi respectively.
The HAKI4ALL book, that was authored with support from African children including Ugandans educates children about their rights, and how they can be supported in case of violations.
At St. Andrews Lugazi, the director of studies Mr. Daniel Okiring said the program is an inspiration to the learners that is very vital in building their esteem and improving their writing skills.
St. Andrews Lugazi Media club president, Andrew Ochen said it was a great opportunity to learn about their rights and freedoms and how they can report and support fellow children if violated. He promised to work with fellow club members to deepen understanding of the different topics in the book.
At Namusera Umea primary school the Deputy headteacher Nakku Aidah appreciated High sound for children and Uganda child Rights NGO Network for the great opportunity and encouraged children to take the message and pledged to guide and support them throughout the process.
